# 5 "The Day Is My Enemy"

The premiere of The Prodigy's new studio album is knocking on the door. Yesterday came out their second single called "The Day Is My Enemy", which you can check out below.

I think I should go back to what I said about The Prodigy's new album, namely that good times of The Prodigy are over. Maybe is it right to expect more from this album. The single "The Day Is My Enemy" is really great, even much better than "Nasty", so it's possible that other songs won't let us down too. On the album there will be 14 songs, such as:

1. The Day is My Enemy
2. Nasty

3. Rebel Radio
4. Ibiza feat. Sleaford Mods
5. Destroy
6. Wild Frontier
7. Rok-Weiler
8. Beyond the Deathray
9. Rhythm Bomb feat. Flux Pavilion
10. Roadblox
11. Get Your Fight On
12. Medicine
13. Invisible Sun
14. Wall Of Death

I've read some articles about their 6th album and about the second single. Words like "ability to fuse together rock and electronic music into something awesome" or ""The Day Is My Enemy" is more industrial than a couple of Transformers having it out in a Soviet weapons factory" mean a lot to all Prodigy's fans all around the world. Here you can read more about their new single, new album and what's also interesting, about what the members of The Prodigy think about present dance music:

Enjoy!

# 4 Surprise!

So, I'm back from Berlin. Last 10 days were hard, but also funny. I'm not an early bird, so I had the same problem every day: to wake up before 12. Maybe I should change my wake up call into some Steve Aoki's track? What do you think? Getting up before 7 was really tiring. Now I can finally sleep off.

As I already mentioned in my previous post, I bought Skrillex concert tickets for 13th February. I wasn't sure when I will receive my tickets because I didn't get any message that they were send. I had no idea that these tickets are already waiting for me at home. When I came back, first thing I did, was to look up, if tickets are really here. I found them lying on my table in a music envelope. There is no turning back. This  is really happening!

# 3 Gretchen goes 2015

It's really hard to write something new when you have so many things to do. It has been a long time since I was here, but what goes around comes around. First of all, happy new year!
This time I'm going to write something about my end of 2014. It was pretty cool, but also not what I expected. Thank you Berlin Music TV for tickets to Gretchen goes 2015 w/Black Sun Empire! I'm really the lucky one!
I have to say it was different. I really love Dubstep and Drum & Bass, but sometimes I just don't know how to dance to DnB. That was a chance for me to learn something new because Dubstep floor was a little bit to poor, I think. I tried all my best, my friends too, even though they're not listening to this type of music (thanks a lot for that!). It was great to hear something from Hybrid Minds and Nero, I haven't heard this since years. Honestly, not only Berlin is the place to be, but also Gretchen Club. Every Electronic, Dubstep or DnB head will find there something special. There are many different acts you can join, which also are highly recommendable. So, if one day you'll decide to go to Berlin, you know which club you should visit first. Nice people, nice crazy people, friendly atmosphere and crew and music that moves your soul- that's all you need to be happy.

Here you can find out something more about Gretchen & events there:

2015 will be full of surprises. First of all, Skrillex is coming to Poland! Who could ever imagine that! See you on 13th February in Centrum Stocznia Gdansk where we are going to "call 911 now"! I cannot describe how happy I am. I have already seen him in 2012 in Berlin and it was an incredible event, not only because of Skrillex, but also because of his support- Alvin Risk.

It was massive. About 3000 people at the same time, in the same place. Just like good family, which understands one another without words. I was in the front row. There was no air to breath and honestly I didn't see anything. When I asked a security to pull me out of the crowd of people, I understand what I've missed. All visual effects, big solid stage and place to dance and even the place to raise my hand and take some photos. After this show I couldn't fall asleep for many hours. I had so much power and everything I wanted to, was to feel it once again and to hear Skrillex live once again. I was so mad at myself because I missed his second show in Berlin, but nobody's gonna stop me now. Tickets are on the way to me, so this time nothing will go wrong!

Second, The Prodigy's 6th album "The Day Is My Enemy", which will be released 30th March 2015. I cannot wait to hear their track with Flux Pavilion called "Rhythm Bomb". This could be explosive combination, but I'm truly convinced that good times of The Prodigy are over. The best example for that is their new song called "Nasty".

I really don't expect anything. I'm just happy they're back. Maybe it will be a big come back, maybe not. Since years I'm listening to their older songs and that will never change. Sending me out of space, with an omen, afraid of voodoo people and trying to breathe.

# 2 Whose chopper is this? Part I

On first sight the answer to this question might be really easy. I guess that some of you think about the movie "Pulp Fiction" (1994) or Bruce Willis (Butch) sitting on a motorcycle.

But is not about "Pulp Fiction" this time. This is about two guys from Canada who changed everything in my life. I first heard about Zeds Dead in 2009, but they started to produce music in 2004 as Mass Productions. Of course their name "Zeds Dead" has much in common with "Pulp Fiction". It references to a scene that you can see above.
DC and Hooks are well known in Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Drumstep music industry. Not only because of their characteristic sound, but most of all because of their talent. It's not that easy to do something special and different. Nowadays almost every Dubstep or Drum and Bass song sounds the same, but not these from Zeds Dead, I think. There are many artists who copy almost everything to be famous and earn as much as possible. That's also the way of life of course, but probably not the best way of thinking. It's important to do what you love and not to expect hundreds of thousands in a minute. I think that was the main reason why DC and Hooks started to work togheter. Here you can find out more about the beginnings of ZD:

As I wrote above, they changed my life. Of course, I like other music genres too, but thanks to ZD I cannot imagine my life without Bass music, Dubstep and Drum & Bass. It is just like the air or food everybody needs to live. Sometimes I really cannot describe feelings while listening to this type of music. It's much different, when I hear it live. Then I go into a trance. It's like a disease that makes you happy, not sad like every disease. Beautiful feeling.
One day I decided to finally see Zeds Dead live and I will never forget that show. It was incredible and spectacular in its simplicity. Nobody throw a pie or air-banana in the audience and nevertheless it made a big impression on me. They just came out on stage and proved they know what they do. So proffessional. So simple. So unforgettable. I'm looking forward to repeat this!

At  the end I would like to listen with you the last EP from Zeds Deppelin and to move "somewhere else".

# 1 Crazy music lover

"Let's write something about music you love the most"- I heard few months ago.  "It's not that easy", I thought. But it also would not be easier if I'll never try. Sometimes beginnings can be really scary and this time it won't be different too, but I have to take a risk.
I don't even remember when did everything start. I'm pretty sure I was 6-year-old kid. One day I came back home from kindergarden and I saw The Prodigy in TV. Most children at my age were afraid of these devil people. Not me. That's how I became a devil's child. I'm still one of them. So please, don't be afraid. It's gonna be my journey through sound, of course through music I love and cannot live without- Electronic, Dubstep and Drum & Bass. I hope you will enjoy it!
